Our Old Bedroom...

Our Dogs, comfortably resting in the usual place: our bed.

Minus the bed, the mess, and two dogs.

Note the window. Moved the mess outside for a garage sale.

Lucy's friends came by to help our at the garage sale.

My Baby's Room...

Okay, this was cute when Lucy was a baby, but she's going to turn fourteen in August. The only redeeming thing she said about our move was the fact that she would get to fix up her own room.

Can you blame her?

Since I'm feeling nostalgic...

Okay, maybe not completely nostalgic. Maybe I'm using these photos to rationalize how lucky I am to have such a great new home in Texas. But, regardless of my motives, here are some other rooms in our old home. Let's start with the kitchen.

We installed in a new stove, microwave, dishwasher, and cabinets in 1998.
Note how these cabinets have handles, but the next photo some cabinets are bare.

Part of the "honey do" list that didn't.

Saying Goodbye to an Old Friend

In January 2013, my husband and I decided we would help his company open an office in the Dallas, Texas area.

So, after living in our Crest Drive home near Hemet, California for over 21 years we said adios to the old homestead.

Despite the hundreds of “honey do” projects that never got done over the many, many years (i.e. buffing the wood flooring or putting the handles on the cabinets), I will miss our ole’ abode.

View from the backyard of our Redwood deck we built in 1995.
Our home was near Hemet's Ramona Bowl outdoor amphitheater.
On summer evenings we would sit on our deck and listen to music echoing off the hills
from the jazz concerts played at the Bowl.
